Pancake Burgers
          

My latest take on the good old hamburger.  The sauce is delicious with pancakes!


      Ingredients

For two burgers:

6 slices bacon

2 hamburger patties (about 1/3 pound each)

1 teaspoon EACH salt and pepper, divided

4 tablespoons sour cream

2 tablespoons maple syrup

4 ready-to-eat pancakes, 4 - 4 1/2" across


      The Recipe

Fry bacon until crisp.  Let drain on paper towels.

Fry hamburgers, seasoning on each side with salt and pepper.  Flip and flatten a few times.

While they're frying, in a small bowl, combine sour cream and maple syrup.

To assemble:  Spread about a tablespoon of the maple sour cream on a pancake, place burger on top, then more cream, then bacon, and finally the top pancake.
