Black Garlic Bread
          

Your guests will think you burned the garlic bread!  An exciting way to serve garlic bread.


      Ingredients

2 bulbs black garlic

1 stick (1/2 cup) butter, room temperature

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon pepper

1 loaf French bread


      The Recipe

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.  Slice off tops of garlic bulbs and separate the cloves from the paper.  Place them in a food processor, along with butter.  Process until smooth.

Slice bread in half width-wise, then lengthwise and place on a baking sheet.  Spread garlic butter on all cut sides.  Bake about 12 minutes, or until bread is slightly crusty.  Let cool down for a couple of minutes before cutting into slices.  A real conversation piece.  Good for about 6 people.
