Blue Cheese stuffed Nectarines on the Grill

Sweet and salty and great with a grilled pork chop or chicken.


3 ripe nectarines, halved and pits removed

3 tablespoons brown sugar

1 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1/3 cup crumbled blue cheese

Cream or half and half

      The Recipe

Wipe grill with paper towels and a little vegetable oil.  Heat to high.  In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar and cayenne.  Dip the cut side of each nectarine half into the mixture and place on grill, cut side down for two minutes, until seared.  Turn nectarines over and filll with blue cheese.  Drizzle a little cream on top.  Close lid and grill two minutes more, until cheese is soft.  Serves 3.
