In a small bowl, combine peppers, salt and sugar. Cut peaches in half around the pit, twist to separate halves and remove pit. Sprinkle each cut side of the peach half with pepper mix (the more, the spicier).
Place on a hot grill, cut side down for just a minute, to sear the pepper onto the peach. You can also put them under a broiler at the top of the oven. Serve immediately as a side dish with pork, chicken or fish. Serves 5.
Another idea: I love to cut slices of ripe, sweet cantaloupe and sprinkle them with the pepper mix. I’ve also grilled steaks and hamburgers with the pepper mix.
