Bavarian Bacon-Wrapped Trout on a Stick
          

Crispy bacon-wrapped Trout on a Stick with a mustard-garlic glaze.


      Ingredients

2 whole trout, gutted and patted dry

Salt and pepper

6 slices thin-cut bacon

1/2 cup mayonnaise

1/3 cup brown mustard

4 cloves minced garlic


      The Recipe

Heat grill to medium-high.  Lightly salt the trout and give it a healthy sprinkling of black pepper.  Thread on long metal skewer (or a sharpened stick) through the mouth.  Wrap three pieces of bacon around each fish.  Place on grill.  In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, mustard and garlic.  Brush on fish, turn, and brush second side.  Do this several times while grilling.  The fish will be done in 12 - 15 minutes.  Serves 2.
