Root Beer-Kahlua Creamsicles

A frozen treat for grown-ups.


1 bottle (12 ounces) good root beer

1/1/2 ounces Kahlua or other coffee liqueour

1/4 cup heavy cream

Popsicle molds

      The Recipe

Open root beer and leave at room temperature for a couple of hours to de-fizz.  In a large measuring cup, mix together root beer, Kahlua and cream.  Pour into popsicle molds and freeze overnight.  Makes about 5.  Note:  You can also freeze in ice cube trays, inserting a popsicle stick after a few hours when they're starting to freeze.
