Ribs in the Rain

Thirteen flavors simmered into one sensational sauce.


1 1/4 cups ketchup

2/3 cup vegetable oil

1 cup apple cider vinegar

1/4 cup soy sauce

1 cup brown sugar

2 tablespoons dry mustard powder

1 tablespoons grated gingerroot

4 cloves garlic, minced

3 tablespoons butter

1 lemon, sliced thin

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon pepper

1/3 teaspoon cayenne pepper

      The Recipe

Mix together all ingredients in a medium saucepan.  Bring to a boil, turn down to a simmer and cook 20 minutes, uncovered.  Makes about 3 1/2 cups of sauce.
