Caesar Salad on the Grill
          

My absolute favorite summer salad.  Unique and easy!


      Ingredients

1/2 cup olive oil

3 - 4 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons prepared brown mustard

1 1/2 tablespoons A1 Steak Sauce

1/4 teaspoon EACH salt and pepper

1 heart of Romaine

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 lemon


      The Recipe

Preheat grill to medium-hot.

In a medium bowl, whisk together olive oil, garlic, mustard, A1 sauce and salt and pepper.  Slice Romaine in half length-wise, leaving stem intact.  Generously brush cut side of Romaine with dressing.  Place on grill, cut side down for 2 minutes.  Turn, grate Parmesan cheese over the tops, close lid and grill 30 - 60 seconds, or until cheese is melted.  Remove from grill and squeeze fresh lemon on top.  Serves 2.
