Broccoli Almond Salad For People Who Don't Like Broccoli

Tender broccoli florets and toasted almonds in a creamy honey dressing.


1 1/2 pounds broccoli florets

1 cup slivered almonds

2 tablespoons butter

1 cup mayonnaise

1/2 cup sour cream

3 tablespoons honey

1/2 cup raisins

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon pepper

      The Recipe

Place broccoli in a large, glass serving bowl with a little water, cover loosely with plastic wrap and microwave 7 minutes.  Drain and allow to cool.

Meanwhile, in a small skillet, saute almonds in melted butter until golden.  Lightly salt.

Make dressing:

In a medium bowl, whisk together mayo, sour cream and honey.  Fold in raisins.  Pour dressing over broccoli and toss well.  At the last minute, fold in almonds.  Serves 6.
