Breakfast with the Benzles
          

Lemon-Lime French Toast


      Ingredients

4 eggs

2 tablespoons cream

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

2 tablespoons lime zest

2 tablespoons lemon zest

3 tablespoons melted butter

6 thick slices of Italian bread

Real maple syrup


      The Recipe

In a medium bowl, beat eggs.  Add cream, pepper, and zests.  Melt butter in a large skillet.  Dip bread slices in egg mixture and fry until golden brown.  Drizzle syrup over.  Serves 3.  Best with bacon on the side.
