The One Minute Kentucky Sundae
HowSweetitis

A really good sundae featuring sweet vanilla ice cream topped with harsh Kentucky bourbon, salty brown sugar pecans and unsweetened whipped cream.  The next best thing to a hot fudge sundae!

Ingredients:

For each sundae:

1 tablespoon butter

1/4 cup pecans

1 teaspoon brown sugar

1/4 cup heavy whipping cream

2 scoops good French vanilla ice cream

1 shot Kentucky (or other) bourbon

Recipe:

Melt butter in appropriately sized skillet (depending on how many sundaes you're making).  Saute pecans until lightly browned, adding salt to taste and brown sugar.  Allow to cool slightly.  Whip heavy cream until soft peaks form (no need to add sugar).

To assemble:  Place ice cream in a bowl, top with bourbon, add toasted nuts and finish off with whipped cream.  A great taste combination.  For kids, replace bourbon with chocolate syrup.
