Walnut Burgers

with sherry and Parmesan cheese
This is a very different and delicious hamburger that's perfect to jazz up an ordinary cook-out.


2 lbs. ground sirloin
2/3 cup chopped walnuts
¼ cup fine dry breadcrumbs
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons dry sherry
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
4 – 6 rolls or buns


In a large bowl, gently mix together all ingredients except for the rolls.
Form into 4 – 6 burgers, depending on how big you like them, and refrigerate one hour (this will firm them up so they won't fall apart on the grill). Grill as desired and top with garnish of your choice.
