Stephen's Buckfast Lamb Chops

From Northern Ireland - A surprised fan of Chow Time gets a surprise visit to show me his 'killer recipe for Chow Time'.


1 bottle Buckfast Tonic Wine (or other sweet red wine)

1/4 cup malt vinegar

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon pepper

3 tablespoons butter

8 lamb chops

Roasted chips (potato wedges)


Pour wine into a medium saucepan.  Boil on medium high without stirring about 20 minutes, or until reduced to a medium thick syrup.  Remove from heat and stir in malt vinegar, salt, pepper and butter.

Grill or broil lamb chops.  Top with Buckfast Sauce and serve (of course) with 'chips'.
