Round Brownies

A thin, rich, chewy cookie that tastes just like a brownie.

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 tablespoon butter

2 eggs

3/4 cup sugar

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1/4 cup flour

1/4 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.  In a double boiler over hot, but not boiling water, melt chocolate and butter together.  Set aside.  In a medium bowl, beat eggs.  Blend in both sugars.  Stir in remaining ingredients and melted chocolate mixture.  Drop by teaspoonfuls onto butter cookie sheets 2" apart.  Bake 10 minutes, or just until set.  Let cool before removing to cooling racks.  Makes about 28 cookies.  Note:  If you'd like add 3/4 cup chopped nuts to the batter.
