Baked Brie Bread with Kitten

French bread with tomato-Brie butter, baked to a golden brown with a totally distracting kitten. 


1/2 lb. soft, ripened Brie, cut into chunks

1 stick (1/2 cup) butter, cut into chunks

4 cloves garlic, minced

3 tablespoons tomato paste

1 loaf French bread, halved lengthwise




Preheat oven to 375 degrees. 

Place Brie, butter, garlic and tomato paste in a food processor and process until smooth, scraping the bowl a couple of times.  Arrange bread halves on baking sheet and spread with Brie butter.  Bake 15 minutes or until golden brown.  Serve with a salad for dinner, or slice 1" strips and serve as an appetizer at a party.
