Shrimp and Egg Salad with Blue Cheese Dressing

A delicious dinner thrown together in minutes.


1/2 teaspoon turmeric

1/2 teaspoon cumin

1/2 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon salt

3 tablespoons butter

1 1/2 pounds medium raw shrimp

2 heads hydroponic Boston butter lettuce ('living lettuce')

Good bottled blue cheese dressing

3 or 4 chopped hard-boiled eggs


Mix together turmeric, cumin, paprika and salt in a small bowl.  Melt butter in a medium skillet.  Add shrimp and saute, sprinkling on half the spice mixture.  Cook five minutes.

Meanwhile, de-stem lettuce, rinse under cold water and chop into bite-sized pieces.  Place on serving platter.  Top with desired amount of dressing.  Add shrimp and finish off with chopped hard-boiled eggs.  Serves 4 as a main course.
